I notice the type designer posting just reads "type designer" and not "senior type designer" and calls for just 2+ years of experience. Perhaps they reworked it.2 -

If you really care about the font, I am with Georg: do the stems manually. AFDKO's StemHist is a useful tool in doing it manually.1 -

You can do dots in patterns that people rapidly get used to. I have a couple of d8 that have pips, and I don't need to count them... same as d6, really. But there does have to be a distinctive patter…2
